The sweet side story

11bgmpassion_jpg_1_2306247f Stories of friendships turning into business partnerships surround us. And more often than not these ventures flourish because of the bond shared by the people who start them. The same is true of city-based youngsters, Rishika Chengappa and Sindhuri Pradeep Reddy who set up Whip It Patisserie, an online venture for desserts, in July last year.

Rishika’s interest in baking was fuelled over her growing up years so she decided to do the six-month Diplome in Patisserie program at Lavonne Academy of Baking Science and Pastry Arts after college. On completing her course, she worked at the J W Marriott Bengaluru for a couple of months before starting Whip It with her friend Sindhuri, a self-taught baker who used to undertake home orders and supply desserts to a couple of restaurants.
